We are thrilled to announce our 14th (and final!) Roasterie Adventure semi-finalist! Congratulations to Brittney Hunter of Prairie Village, KS! You’ve been entered to win a coffee bean-picking trip to Costa Rica!
Brittney battled it out to capture the last semifinalist spot in The Roasterie Adventure with Sunita of Olathe, Kansas. Brittney inched out Sunita’s votes with a picturesque photo of a Roasterie coffee cup looking down on Machu Picchu, Peru. Brittney snagged 976 votes (to Sunita’s 867 votes) in order to become the 14th and final semifinalist for The Roasterie Adventure!
“The contest was very competitive!” exclaims Brittney. “But I just had fun with it. I love Roasterie coffee and want to support the company in any way I can.”
Brittney captured this photo while backpacking through Peru for two weeks. In order to get the photo, Brittney hiked for hours and hours with a Roasterie mug and many Roasterie cups in hand. She and her fellow travelers captured moments in Machu Picchu (and throughout all of Peru for that matter) with Roasterie gear.
One of Brittney’s favorite excursions in Peru was visiting a woman who exports coffee out of the country. The exporter showed Brittney’s entire group the lodge that she works in as well as the entire process of exporting coffee out of Peru.
“I got a glimpse of what the Costa Rica trip would be like,” says Brittney. “I think going to Costa Rica with The Roasterie would be a great learning experience.”
Brittney is a huge fan of Roasterie coffee and frequents our local Kansas City cafés weekly.
“I love supporting local Kansas City businesses,” she explains. “The Roasterie is doing great things throughout the community. I do a lot of local runs here in Kansas City and love getting coffee from The Roasterie after the finish line. Plus, The Roasterie was the first local roaster I ever went to when I moved to Kansas City.”
Brittney will join the following Roasterie Adventure semifinalists for the chance to win a bean-picking adventure in Costa Rica and other great prizes:
