Le Fou Frog Chicory Coffee Blend

Chicory is a perennial plant whose leaves can be eaten like lettuce and whose roots can be roasted and ground to flavor coffee. Adding chicory to coffee is a French tradition, also common in New Orleans. The earthy flavor of roasted chicory complements the notes of coffee. This blend is inspired by and named for Kansas City restaurant Le Fou Frog. The restaurant offers an ever-changing menu of both traditional bistro fare and haute cuisine.
