Irish Coffee
Ingredients:
- 1oz Irish Whiskey
- 0.5oz Simple Syrup
- 4oz Brewed Coffee (Barrel-Aged Coffee)
- Top with Frothed Heavy Whipping Cream
- Garnish with a gentle dash of ground Nutmeg
Instructions:
- Brew Roasterie Barrel-Aged Coffee
- Do this using a double-strength extraction, with an 8:1 water-to-coffee ratio. This gives the drink a bold and noticeable flavor that adds depth to the final beverage. Making it a smooth, bold, and coffee-centric cocktail.
- Tip: We recommend using 20g of coffee to 160g of water, the perfect ratio!
- Taking a 6oz glass, add 1oz of Irish whiskey and .5 simple syrup
- Then, add 4oz of Roasterie Barrel-Aged Blend
- Tip: Be sure to still measure this out, as the amount actually brewed may be more than 4oz and could over-fill the glass.
- Once everything is in your glass, it’s time to froth your heavy whipping cream. We recommend using a handheld milk frother, or whatever your preferred method of frothing milk.
- Tip: The goal is to get the cream thick and smooth, making sure the cream will still flow but isn’t too liquidy.
- Once your frothed milk is ready, grab a spoon just above the glass upside down. Then pour the cream over the back of the spoon so it gently layers on top of your brewed cocktail.
- Garnish with a dash of ground nutmeg and enjoy!
